Rough times ahead for my sister

For many years I have been trying to convince my brother-in-law to buy some inexpensive life insurance to help soften the blow to his family in the event that he met an untimely death.  He has been ill for a very long time and I was worried that his passing would prove to be a financial burden to my sister and their children.  Well, he was a stubborn man who would strut around and insist that he was never going to die.  Well, there are only a two certainties in life; taxes (which he actually did manage to avoid paying his fair share) and death (which he didn’t manage to avoid.)

And, since he never bothered to take my advice and buy affordable life insurance, he has left my sister and her kids in dire straits.  So not only are they devastated emotionally, they are devastated financially.  They did not even have enough money to hold a funeral for him; they had to ask for donations to help pay for his burial expenses.  We’re not sure how long they are going to be able to keep their house!  I’m really glad that my hubby and I have life insurance!  If something happens to one of us, the other won’t be as financially devastated as my sister is!
