Fixing your driver problems
Saturday, July 18th, 2009Over the past couple of years I have accidentally deleted some of my Computer Drivers, or they became corrupted somehow and then things didn’t work right. Once my well-meaning brother was trouble-shooting my computer and deleted my printer from my computer. He told me that I could download the Lexmark Drivers I needed in order to get it working again. I found out how to do that but there was still some things that my printer could not do anymore. Even after contacting Lexmark they told me that I couldn’t get what I needed without the original installation disk. Fortunately I found it after looking through my computer software collection! I make sure to keep all of my installation software!
One of the confusing things, though, is sometimes you find that something doesn’t work right and you don’t know which driver is missing! You don’t know if it is because you are missing some Windows XP Drivers or a mouse driver or audio driver, or what is wrong! That’s why its a great thing to have a software program that will scan your computer and find out which drivers are missing or corrupted. It’s a lot easier to fix a problem when you know what the problem is!
