Please be careful
Tuesday, July 28th, 2009I am repulsed by how many companies are trying to prey on the people who are suffering the most from this housing and economy crisis. So many people have lost their jobs and their homes for a variety of reasons. Yes, some people had made mistakes and tried to live beyond their means, but others fell victim to job loss, sudden accidents, sudden deaths, and things beyond their own control. Now they find themselves with bad credit and seeking credit repair services.
What many of these people don’t realize is that there is no magic wand that can be waved to improve credit. Yes, a certain amount of credit repair MIGHT be accomplished by checking the credit records of the three big credit companies and notifying them of any mistakes. That could help improve credit rating. But if there are no mistakes, and the consumer’s credit is still bad, the only real solution is to pay off debts in a timely manner over a long period of time. It does not happen quickly, and if there is a company out there telling you that they can help you fix it quickly, chances are that it is a scam and you will lose your money you are paying them!
