Life Made Easy

It is so chaotic being a teen mother and the pressure is really starting to consume my surroundings. There are so many things to accomplish and learn before my baby girl arrives. My boyfriend’s hectic work schedule often interferes with the time we get to spend together preparing for our new arrival. We like to make decisions together but there are so many things to finish. I decided to try and make things easier by using the internet we have with our satellite tv and mobile internet bundle. We all know that being online is a world of opportunity!

It is hard to know what to expect when my baby girl arrives. I am trying to prepare to the best of my ability. I am always searching for new things to learn. I have watched a few videos of childbirth online and I’m also reading about new ways to prepare, and what to expect. I want to become as educated as possible and the internet is full of information. I have found plenty of essential decorative and baby items by shopping online. It makes things less complicated and I can accomplish more. I am very appreciative that there is so much information online and it is nice to know that I am not going through this alone. Preparing for a baby is not an easy task but I know that it is very much worth it.

Half as much

A few days ago I decided to try one of the new Wendy’s salads for lunch. Normally I’m not a big salad fan, but I was feeling adventurous. So I decided to try the Apple Pecan Chicken salad. I picked it up on my way to work, and put it in the refrigerator at the office until lunch time. When I got around to eating it, I have to say that I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it! I think I had heard that it is not a low-calorie salad, but that’s OK with me, I wasn’t eating it for a weight-watching reason. There was truly a party going on in my mouth!

The next day I went to a different Wendy’s, in a town twenty miles away, on my way to visit my brother. I was sorely disappointed in the fact that this particular Wendy’s only gave me about 1/2 the amount of chicken and about 1/2 the amount of bleu cheese as the first salad I had gotten. So I was wondering if the first salad was a mistake in giving me too much, or if this second Wendy’s was skimping too much. I have to say that the smaller amounts of meat and cheese was a disappointment.

So today I went back to the first Wendy’s and ordered the salad again.  Just to see how much meat and cheese I’d get.  This time was not as much as the first day, but more than the second day.  I have to wonder why – I would have thought a big chain like this would have some kind of portion control going on!

I Get My Fill with Dr. Phil

I am a student in college trying to get a degree in psychology. I absolutely love the Dr. Phil talk show. I am intrigued with the way he can figure people out through conversation and the way he reads their body language. And there are times that I see some of my family dynamics on that show! I recall one episode where a mom was in denial of how she treated her daughter. The daughter had been abused by the step-father and the mom took sides with the step-father. The daughter now has children and the hurt was still evident even after all those years of abuse. I watch the Dr. Phil show using my Directtv packages. If I am unable to watch the show, I record it for later.

Dr. Phil is awesome. He knows just what to say and how to get the person to come to grips with what is so wrong in a situation and then he always offers counseling to help the guests of the show to cope with their problems.
